About
Anderson-Shiro CISD is a home away from home. Between the two campuses we have a compassionate and dedicated TEAM that works endlessly for the betterment of all students. On behalf of the Owls and Lady Owls student family, the 7th Grade Leadworthy class would like to recognize a staff member each week. This spotlight feature will not only demonstrate appreciation, but will also show the wonderful environment we know as Anderson-Shiro. Go Owls!

The creation and maintenance of The OWL Spotlight is the responsibility of the Leadworthy students. All staff selections, interviews conducted, and stories written are fully constructed by our wonderful students.
Coach Jackson
Coach Jackson started out playing baseball in college and he played first base. He grew up with a nice childhood and his family loves baseball. He is a father of 3 boys: Colton, Tyler and Logan. He loves Anderson and the small school.
He is the offensive coordinator for varsity football. For baseball he is head coach and loves the athletes. One of his life goals is to take his family to all of the MLB stadiums before he can't anymore. He is always chasing his sons, and his hobby is really just taking care of his family. What he thinks about Anderson is it is a great school with no issues.
An example of a challenge he had to overcome was the bad years of coaching baseball with the new kids. He said "One of he best times to grow is no and in the class."
His favorite quote is called "The Man in the Arena", by Teddy Roosevelt. The quote is ,"The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who eers, who comes short again and again; because there is no effort without , and shortcoming; but who does actually to strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasm, the great." He chose this quote because it talks about whatever hits you in life, don't let it stop you. He teaches by getting straight to the point and making it as simple as possible. What he had to say to the students, "Take it all in, enjoy it, use to enjoy."

Mrs. Reagan
About Me-
Her name is Megan Reagan. Her birthday is March 5, 1991. She is married to Chase Reagan who is 32 years old and has one daughter named Sutton who is 3 years old. Sutton's birthday is October 14th. She chose to work here because she wanted Sutton to grow up here because she wanted Sutton to grow up in a small town and in a place where teachers care about their students. Animals she has are butterball horses named Stacey and Stella.They enjoy pasture life after being barrel horses for many years. She also has a Jack Russel named Tillie. She used to live in Montgomery but taught 3rd and 4th grade reading in Conroe and Magnolia. But now she teaches 3rd grade reading in Anderson.
Favorite Hobbies-
Some of her hobbies include reading, fishing and spending time with her family. The type of books she likes to read are Mysteries. Her favorite part of teaching here is that the kids she teaches, the families trust her.
Challenge-
Becoming a mom was one of her big challenges. Waking up to her daughter and showing her how a good person acts. She really wants Sutton to know that she will always have someone that will be there for her.

Her teaching philosophy-
Every kid deserves a chance,but that chance doesn't have to be academic. Help them do all of it. Also it is to make sure the kids know that she is there to help be their chance.
Advice
Always remember that you always have someone in your corner. All you have to do is ask, try to remember all of us are important in your own ways.
