Tammy Alexander

I have been teaching for a little over 8 years. I was born and raised here in the area, I spent the last two years teaching in my hometown of Navasota, but I am so grateful to have joined the wonderful team here at Anderson-Shiro Elementary. I have three children, two of which attend Anderson-Shiro Jr High and High School. The youngest, just an Owlet at 10 months old. I have a love for the outdoors and agriculture. Our family is very involved in the stock show industry and work hard at creating a love for the industry through our showmanship camps we host in the summer. My passion for children and teaching has led me to believe that each and every child that walks through my door is meant to be there. We are meant to cross paths and leave our mark on each other. I don’t take this time with them for granted and make each day worth it . l am looking forward to an amazing year here. Even in these times of chaos, I can assure you my classroom will be a place of order, safety and love.

Bri Couch

Howdy!

I’m Bri Couch, or some students may remember me as Coach Holtkamp from last year. I am the contracted athletic trainer hired through CHI St. Joseph Orthopedic to cover Anderson-Shiro CISD. This year I have the pleasure of teaching the Sports Medicine I class for juniors and seniors. I’m super excited for this class, and I hope my students are too. This is my second year as the athletic trainer, but my first year teaching this class.

I’m originally from College Station and graduated from A&M Consolidated in 2013. I earned my bachelor’s degree at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas, followed by my master’s degree in Athletic Training at Texas A&M. I was recently married in June to my high school sweetheart, and we have two sweet fur babies, Sasha and Red.

CALEB HARANG

I grew up in Brazoria, TX and graduated from Columbia High School in West Columbia, TX. I showed cattle, played football, and threw the shot put in track. I earned a livestock judging scholarship to Blinn College and then Texas A&M University. I graduated from Texas A&M with an Animal Science degree. I previously worked at Needville HS, Spring Westfield HS, and Aldine MacArthur HS. My wife, Gentra, and I have been married for 2 years and have a 7 month old daughter, Georgia. We enjoy live music, great food, and going to sporting events.

LAURA DIETZMANN

I'm so excited to join the Owl family and look forward to an amazing year. This is my 22nd year teaching in multiple disciplines with all but 5 years being in private, college-prep schools. The other 5 were in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. I've taught 6th - 12th Language Arts/English, including pre-AP & AP, Creative Writing, and business classes. Outside of the classroom I've served as a CollegeBoard Counselor, NHS Advisor, librarian, and various other positions.

Before teaching I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Business Management and Public Relations. I then worked in the Human Resources & Training/Development departments in the hospital industry. I loved the training element but wanted more family time - so teaching, here I come.

I have one son, Hunter, who is attending Blinn in College Station, and then Texas A&M in the spring. Hunter's passion is for clay/skeet shooting, in which I became very involved in by following him all over Texas. I love gardening, being out on the water, camping, spending time in West Texas, and of course, reading when I have time.

Rusty White

I am excited to start working with the students of Anderson-Shiro Jr/Sr High. My previous experience includes different roles at College Station and Bryan elementary campuses. I hold a degree in Agronomy from Texas A&M University. My family and I recently moved to Anderson after living in College Station for over twenty years. We are looking forward to the change that this year has brought and building new friendships.
