EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY

The end of a classical, liberal arts education is to give students the tools necessary to work towards the fulfillment of their purpose.  In order for a student to live a good life, they need to be thoughtful of mind, virtuous of soul, and able to develop meaningful human relationships.  A classical, liberal arts education aims, then, to direct students to what it means to be human and how to live a life that seeks to serve the higher things. In doing this, a liberal arts education stays true to its name, an education that makes one free: free from the oppression of ignorance, the enslavement of their carnal passions, and the vain pursuits that are not worthy of their time and affections.
