ABOUT ME

My name is Ben Long and I am thrilled to be teaching Upper Level Humanities this year! I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a bachelors in English and from the University of West GA with a masters in Teaching.  I have been teaching for seven years in public middle and high schools. I have three small kids and our family just moved from GA to CO this year!

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO

I'm very much looking forward to joining the team at Ascent and partnering with the parents and students of this school. This is my first time teaching at a Classical school, so I'm excited to experience a culture shift from what I'm used to. This will also be my first time teaching some of these courses, and as a lifelong learner I'm looking forward to exploring this content with my students!
