Adjudication Outreach

Can't travel for an adjudication? ASBDA can bring the adjudication to you! An individual Director decides to take advantage of the CT ASBDA Adjudication Outreach, deciding on a fee (or no fee) and date/time with the desired adjudicator(s). Adjudications may be performance only, performance/clinic, or performance and sight-reading, or any combination. It may or may not include a rating, and may or may not include an award plaque. These details are all at the Director’s discretion. The school’s administrators also may be included in any portion of the event, all held within the band’s own building.

Fees have ranged from “a sandwich and a cup of coffee” to $200 per day, again, at the discretion and agreement with the chosen adjudicator(s). Directors are free to contact any ASBDA member.

OUTSTANDING POTENTIAL AWARD FOR YOUNG DIRECTORS

CTASBDA members recognize outstanding young Band Directors in their or surrounding districts. Nominees do not need to be members of ASBDA to be recognized.

The "ASBDA Young Band Director's Symposium" is an exclusive program created by ASBDA members to assist new and developing band directors to understand their profession better and assist with the demands that come with the position.

The CT ASBDA Outstanding Student Award is giving out to student(s) that make an outstanding contribution to their band program. Students are selected by their directors.
