IV. Review Process

Staff Review

Board staff will review the charter holder's information for compliance with Arizona Statute, Rule, Policy, and the charter holder's contract. The review will include the submitted documentation, documentation in the charter holder's contract, as well as documentation found on the charter holder's website.

Virtual Meeting

Following the Staff review of documentation, a virtual meeting will be held with representatives of the charter holder/charter school. This meeting should include any personnel who can speak to the academic systems of the school and compliance related areas.

During this meeting:

  • Representatives of the charter/school will be asked questions about the academic systems of the school.

  • Staff will inform the Charter Representative if additional documents are needed to demonstrate compliance after the full review has been conducted. At the conclusion of the call, charter personnel will have forty eight hours to submit any additional documents to demonstrate compliance.
