General Note: GATE participants are expected to make their own way to the ASB campus on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings and back to their lodging of choice in the evenings. The campus is located southwest of the city center. If you plan on staying closer to the city center, please take into account public transport times when arriving to campus. Try to pre-plan your public transportation routes and allow extra time in case you miss a transfer. There are two hotels very near the school listed below which are walking distance to school.

Located in: Esplugues de Llobregat (about 20 minutes from downtown Barcelona). You can share the address below with any taxi driver to get out to campus. You can also say "el colegio americano."

ASB is located just outside of central Barcelona, but is very well connected and close to public transportation. Below we have listed a few popular hotel options with links to each via google maps. Check them out and make reservations on your own. There are, of course, many options as Barcelona is such a popular tourist destination. Check out AirBnb as well.

Barcelona is a very well connected city with option for taking taxis, buses, or the metro. If you wish to contract a taxi you can use one of the apps (to the right). By downloading those on your phone you should be able to order a taxi whenever you may need it.

If you are coming directly to ASB from the airport the best way to come is by taxi (12 minutes drive). You could also take the metro (L9 sud) and the JM bus. You will be able to find a public taxi as soon as you leave customs and go down the escalator outside of the terminal and you will be able to pay by card.
If you are going downtown Barcelona to your hotel first, depending on where you are staying you could take the AEROBUS. It is a blue bus that leaves from the airport terminal to a few popular stops downtown. From there you can take a taxi or metro to your hotel.

ASB is located in Esplugues de Llobregat, essentially a suburb of the city. To get there you can:
take a taxi (see apps above or order at your hotel)
use public transportation (see Google Maps). The JM and EP1 busses as well as the tram stop Pont d'Esplugues are very close by.
