Virtual Learning Hub
For any questions of updates, contact hokar@asb.bh
As we prepare to begin the next phase of virtual learning on Sunday, March 29, please find the attached letters outlining the updated structure and expectations for the different sections.
Our goal is to provide as much clarity and consistency as possible while balancing meaningful learning, connection, and student wellbeing.
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership, flexibility, and support.
We recognise that supporting learning at home can be challenging. Student wellbeing remains a priority, and we encourage families to maintain a balanced routine that includes breaks, movement, and time offline.
Learning Support teachers and counsellors will continue to support students
Support will take place within lessons, in small groups, and through individual check-ins

Google Classroom Tutorial
Seesaw Tutorial for Students
ECC: Parents should regularly check Seesaw using their parent account. Teachers will upload activities either in the student’s journal or through Seesaw messages.
Elementary School: Students must check their own Seesaw accounts. Teachers will post activities and any additional information there. Parents may access the student’s journal and messages through their family account; however, they cannot view or access activities that are assigned directly to students for completion.
Middle/High School: MS and HS students must access all learning materials through Google Classroom only.
ECC: Since it is difficult for younger students to independently access their accounts on Seesaw, teachers will utilize the parents' access to Seesaw posting information on the students' journal or using Seesaw messages.
Elementary School: Students have access to their own Seesaw accounts, and can independently view and complete the activities posted by their teachers. Parents do not have access to the activities posted by teachers. Thus, students must check their own Seesaw accounts. Parents may access the student’s journal and messages through their family account; however, they cannot view or access activities that are assigned directly to students for completion.
Middle/High School: MS and HS students must access all learning materials through Google Classroom only. Parents will only have access to Google Classroom as Guardians. Here is an overview of the Google Classroom Guardian summaries. If you have any issues with the summaries, please contact itsupport@asb.bh.
For any technical difficulties, kindly contact our Technology Department through itsupport@asb.bh
Students are expected to approach virtual learning with the same standards of responsibility and conduct that apply during the regular school day. In particular:
Cameras are expected to be on during live sessions unless otherwise directed by the teacher.
Students must wear appropriate casual clothing suitable for a school environment.
Students should work from a quiet space, where possible, minimizing background noise and distractions.
Students must be prepared for each lesson with the necessary materials and ready to begin on time.
Respectful behaviour is required at all times, including appropriate language, active listening, and responsible use of the chat function.
Safeguarding & Online Conduct
Live sessions may be monitored to ensure student safety and wellbeing.
Students must not record, photograph, or screenshot any part of a lesson.
Online behaviour expectations mirror our in-school expectations, and all school policies remain in effect during virtual learning.
