The project I did is an app I created for people to play with. I used the website "Thunkable," which helped me guide and structure the app I wanted to make. In short words, this app is a game to test your basic and shared knowledge. As you play, you can see that the questions consist of common sense. As you click the correct answer, your score goes higher. At the end of the game, you have your final score.
This year, I took the digital art class, where we learned and got introduced to many valuable websites. One of our fun projects was to create an app by using the website "Thunkable.com." It is a straightforward and helpful website for beginners, including me. I was new to this website which gave me much curiosity about how it works and why. As I moved things around and experimented, I got pretty confident.
The website consisted of combining blocks to make things work. I moved things around and experimented with the program before creating my own. As I understood the structure, I started building up the blocks and changing designs.
My app is a game to test your knowledge. There will be questions to answer. As you click the correct answer, your score will increase. However, the wrong answer clicked, your score will decrease. I also added a piece of soft Japanese music to make it enjoyable and relaxing. Since there is a time limit of 15 sec, there will be enough time to understand the question and answer it. When the 15-sec pass, you will not answer the missed question and move on.
My app has many purposes. The main reason is for people to test their common sense. However, that is not the only one. I created this game for people to enjoy and have with it. If someone needs a short break, it is a great time to try and play this game. The design, colors, music are all aesthetic which can help people calm down and take it easy.
I can expand my project by making the game longer or adding more entertainment. What I mean by this is to make it even more enjoyable. For example, having the questions get more difficult as you answer the correct answer or changing the music as you get to a higher level.
I got introduced to this project in my digital art class. Mr. Shelden, my digital art teacher, introduced me to the website of making my own app. (Thunkable.com). I also got inspired by other users that created their app on thunkable.com
This app looks very relaxing! I enjoyed your video and the types of questions you asked are fun and engaging. I wonder how you could continue to build on this app; perhaps add badges, next level questions, a top scores module? Great work here!
