My assignment was to create a 3D model, so I created a 3D model of a glass greenhouse on Tinkercad. By adding shapes and holes, I created a glass greenhouse successfully and also added details with flowers and a road. This experience made me more confident in 3D modeling as well as more knowledgeable about the subject.
I created a glass greenhouse mainly because I love glass greenhouses. These kinds of structures look really relaxing and comfortable, but at the same time they are very elegant and welcoming. I was thinking that by modeling a glass greenhouse, more people would be encouraged to have some tea or read a book in these comfy, beautiful-looking glass houses.
I first create my project by adding shapes and then adding holes to make a glass-looking effect. It took time to create the specific shapes I wanted, but it was worth it because those shapes complimented the overall image of the glass greenhouse later on.
My glass greenhouse looked very neat and detailed! I found out at 3D modeling isn't as hard as I thought it would be at first and that trying new things really does broaden my skills and view on life. I also thought that it would be cool to have my project 3D printed someday!
My results are very important to me and the audience. I think that this experience in 3D modeling made me realize how easy it was and that someone like me could do it too. Previously I never tried 3D modeling because I thought it would be very hard for a beginner like me, but it wasn't like that at all. I'm glad that I had this opportunity during class, and if I had another chance to do it, I would do it again :D
I could extend my project by possibly adding more details. Adding more plants, trees, flowers, to give my project a more fulfilling scenario. I think I could've also done better in my holes for the greenhouse because some lines were not perfectly straight. But with the tools I had in hand, making a straight line was difficult at the time. For next time, maybe I could try other 3D tools to broaden my skills in 3D modeling.
"I used ""Palram Essence⢠8 ft. x 12 ft. Greenhouse Silver Frame Twin-Wall Panels"" as a reference for the overall structure and shape of my greenhouse.
I would also like to thank Mr. Shelden for encouraging me (and our class) to experience new skills that would later on help with what I want to do in the future. "
What a great design! I would like to have some coffee in a place like this. I agree with you in that designs like this provide a calm environment where people can enjoy nature. I am so glad you learned a lot in 3D design by working on this project. I would like to see more features added to the project and as you develop your 3D design skills to keep a portfolio .This will give you the opportunity to develop your projects and redesign them in the future.
