This project is a two-point perspective drawing that's for my Perspective Art Class. Although it was initially an accident, it turned out to be a great -and original- representation of a kitchen.
My teacher suggested that, for second-rounders (of Perspective class), we did a kitchen, contrary to a city (for first-time takers). I wanted to mix both ideas, making a city from kitchen elements.
I started the first building –the kitchen–; It made the base of the whole thing, and inspired me to add the gas bottle, the fridge, etc. I used colorful patterns and opposite colors from the palette to make them contrast and be noticeable.
The end result was a colorful and imaginative artwork. It transmits a chill and more classic structure with the classic square patterned tiles (on the streets), the sink and counters, etc; while mixing the innovative color choices.
This work shows the importance of correlation and thought process while crafting and "marrying" what seem "incompatible partners." It shows that with the classic and modern fusions.
I could've added more color in the "sky," or shifted the focus more to the aspect of the city more than anything. Though I would've liked to do that, it was still wiser to emphasize that it's a kitchen.
Although I didn't copy these, my teacher made us base our works from the techniques of these two videos.

How to Draw A Kitchen in Two Point Perspective | Step By Step
I absolutely love the surrealist idea of a kitchen city that wouldn't be out of place in Alice's Wonderland or a Hayao Miziyaki film. It is so rife with metaphors, especially with buildings as ovens or faucets in a place with a water tower may be. The colors are vibrantly hypnotic and dazzling. I would love to see the idea explored further in an animated story or commercial.
