I wanted to create a master piece with materials that we all have at home and find out what goes on when you heat crayons ? of course they melt but I wanted to know how this effect can help me to create a master piece so I decided to use all the materials, pencils, color, markers, melted crayons, everything and create an original picture,
I made this project, because I love art. The question I was trying to answer was: What happens when you expose color crayons to high temperatures like artificial heating? and how this effect can help me to create a master piece? those are questions I have always wanted to know.
First of all I drawed an angel and I painted with temperas. Then I used and special stiker paper and I draw some stars, I put in the canvas and spred some grated crayon all over, mixing colors. Then I cover it with shive paper and heated with a hairdryer. The effect was really cool.
I found out that grated crayons at high temperature melt and create a nice mixed color, like wax and it is also resistent to water. I also noticed that it is a fun way to create a picture.
I have learned that when you want to create something new you can do it. It is not necesary to buy new stuff to do it, you can experiment at home with things you already have.
I think I cound create several pictures in different canvas like a puzzle. I also discovered that the graped crayons can fly easly and it is easier to melt them with an iron
I got the ideas from youtube. My parents helped me to grate the crayons and my grandmother helped me to draw the angel.
What a fabulous use of different materials and different techniques to make something unique! It inspires me to try new ways of creating art also!
