How does Godzilla represent Japan's fear of nuclear energy? I researched information, I saw movies and I drew. Godzilla is as destructive as the atomic bomb.
Because I like old kaiju films like Godzilla (Gojira in Japanese). I wanted to know more. After reading about the time when Godzilla was popular I asked how does Godzilla represent Japan's fear of nuclear energy?
I read information about the first kaiju movies and about Godzilla and how WW2 ended. I watched many films, I googled images, I drew Godzilla many times untill I got the final result.
I found out that Godzilla's origin was in 1954 by Hishiro Honda and before it was Godzilla it was a T-Rex, the most distructive dinosaur. I learnt that he wanted to show the World Japan's fear to nuclear energy that can be very destructive too. When Germany surrended, Japan didn't and the USA dropped 2 atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki destroying everything. I chose to draw Godzilla to show how powerful he is.
I confirm Godzilla is based on the power of atomic energy and old kaiju films represent the fear of Japan's destruction

The connection between science and movies is really interesting! Maybe next year you could research how nuclear energy works or what effects it has on the environment.
