Problem does oil and water mix. first I added oil into a bottle and mixed it with water. Than I added food coloring and finally Alka seltzer. the results were that oil and water do not mix and because of the CO2 of the alka seltzer the food coloring goes up and down
I wanted to know if it was possible to mix water and oil
I planned out my projects with a sketch, then I developed steps in a prototype.
My results were that water and oil do not mix because they have different weights, food coloring has the same weight as water so it doesn't mix with oil either.
My results are important because its important to know the properties of water since its something we use everyday. My conclusion is that oil is less dense than water and food coloring
I could have used a transparent plastic bottle so that the food coloring will be easy to see. To improve i could have used different colors
Youtube and I used the help of my brother and tutor
Excellent experiment reveals the fact that oil is less dense than water. You applied the scientific method perfectly and your results which were recorded in the form of a YouTube were captured effectively. What environmental implications could this have? How could you apply this knowledge to other contexts?
