I've had various project errors during these times. Currently i am developing the most difficult one, since my launcher is not working properly. What i did to solve them was communicate with my friend L.P., he really knows how to work with ROM Hacking, also I watched tutorials or experimented with the settings by myself.
The reason why i decided to do this project, is because i really enjoy playing games. i enjoy the complexity of them and the designing of them. i like to customize the game how i want it to be, just how you would customize you own character. The current problem I'm trying to solve, is that the game would crash whenever i warp into my custom level, I'm experimenting with warp links and other things to see if it works.
I haven't yet developed my solution. I;m messing with warp settings by myself, experimenting and trying to figure out what is going on.
I found out that areas have to be correctly scaled and linked in order to work. My prototype consists of me replacing a world of the game Super Mario 64, warping it correctly and being able to play it for fun. The way i mark my progress is by saving the file after every change i make.
My results could be important because I'm giving knowledge about game designing to other people. People with those passions may learn from it and become better at what they do, also I'm learning by working alone and experimenting. I will also supply a game that totally customizable how you want if you know what you're doing.
I think i could've been more careful in the beginning. Acknowledging what i was doing, and working on it calmly, marking my progress. I think i could've scaled the warps differently because they are kinda messed up now. Next up is finishing the warps so its playable for all.
I got my information from L.P., and ideas by myself and my partner F.C.. We developed ideas together and where making it happen! My friend L. helped me a lot, and just did 10 minutes ago teaching me some warping tips.
This project offers a unique and inspiring glimpse into the challenges a budding game developer faces while in the midst of refining their creations. I particularly appreciate how you address the specific need to debug how to warp from one world to the other and how explicit you are in explaining that this is only part of the larger troubleshooting process of game making. To make the submission more powerful, I recommend including video or screenshot evidence of the specific warping bug or challenge you are working on as well as your optimistic attitude in knowing that a solution can be created.
