EXCELLENCE IN DIGITAL ARTS

PROJECT SUMMARY

The project was made to improve my understanding and skill in digital arts. The focus question was "how to paint or draw digitally? " To answer this question I used the Krita application to draw a digital art piece and at the meanwhile learning tricks and tips for the application's usage.

WHY?

How to paint or draw digitally?

HOW?

I created my project by first determining what I wanted to draw. Then I drew sketches of my idea and used the best idea in creating my project.

WHAT?

As I was using the digital art application I found out how different tools and brushes worked. At the same time I also was able to grasp better upon how the the color combination in digital arts is used.

SO WHAT?

The conclusion I have reached is that although digital arts may have a lot of tools in had for the users, it is challenging to organize the overall components in a project. That learning digital art takes an immense amount of hard work and patience.

WHAT'S NEXT?

I could extend my project by learning how to animate with digital art applications. I could do the overall compositions in my drawings differently for better organization. In the end, my next step is to improve upon the knowledge I already upon the subject and learn more.

Not only does this project capture a vibrant artistic rendering of a mysterious creature, but has a robust and meticulous step-by-step slide presentation on how the process of a digital drawing goes from pencil and paper to colorful digital composition. This bridges the gap between two technologies and offers a succinct tutorial on not only the artistic but on the technological aspects of what is needed. The scene evokes an enigmatic scene from a story, and I would love to see if you could take this one step further into incorporating a story or pushing this further into animation.
