EXCELLENCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN

PROJECT SUMMARY

The prolonged drought in the Chaco affects bees that are forest and crop pollinating insects. I made a bee drinker so they can drink water and rest. Strategically place stones in a container with clean water.

WHY?

I did this project because I love bees, and I saw there where dead bees on the pool and on ponds because they don’t have place to lean to drink. I made a container with rocks placed in the form of a ladder so that they do not fall and drown when drink

HOW?

Collect rocks of different sizes from the garden, wash each rock with water and place them in a container and add clean water but uncoated water to all of the rocks so that the bees can support themselves.

WHAT?

Many distances to find food and water. By placing the drinking fountain near the forest, bees could

SO WHAT?

Bees having a drinking fountain nearby do not waste time and energy looking for water but rather to collect nectar to have honey in the winter or when the flowers run out. In addition, they are not in danger of drowning trying to drink water in a place

WHAT'S NEXT?

If the drought situation in the Chaco does not improve and the container with clean water cannot be renewed in a timely manner, one could think of a method to oxygenate or purify the water with the help of a solar panel, since electrical energy does not always arrive in places or fields far away.

I say thanks to my mom that she is a beekeeper and knows a lot about bees, she taught me to love and value them. I go whenever I can to Chaco, and I know of the needs that are passed when there is a drought. I thank the bees for pollinating the forests, and without them there would be no life. And also that they give us the delicious and healthy honey.
