The American artist Georgia O'Keeffe saw the world through a zoom lense.
Georgia began creating simplified images of natural things, such as leaves and flowers.
Then she transformed them into monumental paintings.
She was known for her paintings of enlarged flowers.
She said "it is only by selection, by elimination, and by the emphasis that we get at the real meaning of things" (Georgia O'Keefe) at the Birmingham Museum of Art in 2010.
In this project, the students have two challenges: taking a picture of a flower with zoom to the camera, and then drawing the flower with colored pencils, or painting, or digital media.
We are very proud to present the results.
