Charcoal comes in three basic forms: pencil, vine, and stick.
For this project, we used charcoal sticks.
Students will:
Learn about the element of art called VALUE.
Review the five elements to shade creating contrast: highlight, shade, shadow, reflected light, and cast shadow.
Demonstrate understanding of shading techniques by rendering two-dimensional shapes so that they appear realistically three-dimensional.
