Childsmile came to Logie Coldstone today to help us to understand what we need to do to look after our teeth.
P1-5 started learning about information handling in maths. What colour will be rolled most in 5 minutes? We used cubes and links to build our ‘graph’. We could answer lots of questions about the information we gathered.

We had a wonderful Nativity This week. It was lovely to be supported by our community as we began our Christmas celebrations.
Christmas has officially started in Logie Coldstone. We had a wonderful welcome at the Community Cafe in the Village Hall. It was so nice to share our singing with everyone. Thank you so much for the cakes and juice! We will definitely be back!
So many Parents and Friends came to our Open Afternoon on Wednesday. The pupils showcased their learning through presentations and walk-arounds. Strong Pupil Voice displayed

Our pupils worked with Maggie Patience to create the most marvellous mosaic of our school. Thank you to the Parent Council for supporting this.
P2-5 had a wonderful day at Belwade Horse Welfare Farm near Aboyne! Finding out how to care for and rehome horses. A super trip!
All pupils created images using found material. Some chose to work together, some chose to work alone. The choice was theirs. The results were amazing!
We had a wonderful trip to the Biodiversity Centre yesterday at Aberdeen University. We spent some time thinking about what biodiversity means, different types of plants, why plants are important, and how many different and interesting ways plants have been useful throughout history. Thank you to our parent, Jude, for suggesting this wonderful opportunity.
