This is Ms. Bisaccia's 6th year at JGMS and 10th year teaching. She teaches Art 1 and Media Arts (a 7th grade elective). She loves making art and teaching art, but her favorite part of her job is seeing students learn to solve problems on their own. Ms. Bisaccia insists that creativity is a muscle and we can- and should- strengthen it. She also hates when people say they "can't" draw, because what they really mean is they have not learned to draw yet.
Ms. Bisaccia's last name is Italian, so the letters make different sounds than we are used to. She pronounces it bee-zah-cha! (It helps if you raise your hands in the air while saying the cha!)
Ms. Bisaccia lives with her husband and a mutant chihuahua named Nino. They like to hike and be outdoors, but also sit and watching something or play video games. Ms. Bisaccia loves books, but she usually listens to audiobooks because her eyes don't like reading long texts. She also reads a LOT of comics and graphic novels. She also loves puzzles and thinks that everyone should do them. She is a proud nerd.
Ms. Bisaccia is awkward in photos, videos, and voice recordings. However, she will be sharing some of them this year because we need to stay connected during this distance learning thing. Her classes are judgement-free zones.
Ms. Bisaccia is here to help you. You can talk to her during video class or office hours. If you need help outside of class time, fill out this form and she will help you ASAP.
