Our monthly Self-Love Club for women 18+ features a different topic each month, with no art experience needed.
Self-Love Club is for women 18+ and will be hosted by Karina on the third Saturday of each month (unless otherwise noted) from 10am-12pm in Watertown, CT.
Membership options: $30 a month, or save on 3 months for $75
For the final Self-Love Club of 2024, members engaged in mindful art-making for a moment of being present during this busy season. We also celebrated the holidays and December birthdays with some goodies. 🥐🎂
Members came up with 24 self-care tasks that feel good, not what they think self-care tasks "should" be. Then we decorated boxes or jars to place the tasks inside, creating a "self-care advent box" to ensure regular self-care throughout the busy holiday season. 🎁
October.mp4Members reflected on authenticity: what it means to be authentic, how it shows up in our different roles, and recognizing all of the parts of our authentic selves. We then created "me mandalas" to express our authenticity. ✨
Members were guided through making Fall Equinox vision boards. 🍂 They were blessed with a beautiful fall day to create outside, manifesting intentions for the autumn season. They shared about coziness, finding presence in hectic schedules, balancing when shorter days begin to feel dark, and focusing on our rhythm and what functions for us individually.
Members created imagery representing something they are shifting away from and imagery of what they are shifting towards, with most focusing on the often hectic transition from summer to fall.
Then they cut both pieces up into strips and wove them together. This created a new piece that was a literal, visual representation of this transition, and reflections were shared on what this time of year brings for them.
Members were invited to pull The Wild Unknown archetype cards for their past, present, & future, reflect on what came up for them, and then create their own cards. 🃏✨
Members first reflected on and wrote down joyful memories/their favorite things from childhood on a large paper....with their non-dominant hand.
-Then, we scribbled and splattered and smeared paint on top of this to form a background (after taking a picture of their written memories first).
-The remaining time was spent playing with textures, color, glitter, gems, and more. For a whole hour & a half. It was magical and joyful and wonderful ✨

Members explored self-care and what it really means and created self-care intention cards. We also reflected on the similarities in last month's discussion topic of boundaries and, really, that boundaries *are* self-care.
Members talked about all different types of boundaries we can have, levels of boundary strength (weak, rigid, etc), how boundaries can differ between individuals or communities, and how they can shift over time.
Members were invited to create a symbol for themselves, reflect on 2-3 types of boundaries and what strength they're currently at, and then add into their painting imagery that represents the level of strength they would like those boundaries to be at.
