This session will be open to audience members. Friends and family are welcome to come and watch, cheer on and support the youth performers.
At the end of each performance time is taken for the panelists to reflect and make notes on each performer.
At the end of each category the performers will receive general feedback as a group and then presented with their achievements.
Aerial and Circus Arts: Youth & Teen Categories
Youth:
Ages 8 to 10
Ages 10 to 12
Aerial and ground acts are welcome.
Teen:
Ages 13 to 15
Ages 16 to 18
Aerial and ground acts are welcome.
Prerequisite:
Must be enrolled in at least one class in the style they will be performing and must have been enrolled and training with a coach or at a studio for at least 2 years.
The youth category is designed for students who want to take their performance and training to the next level. The feedback will be shared with them and their instructors to be able to implement feedback into classes.

Awarded to the performer who lights up the stage with magnetic presence, and leaves a lasting impression through their engagement, confidence, energy, expression, emotional resonance, and ability to command attention from entrance to exit.
Peak Technique Award
Technical Acumen, Ease and Precision of Execution
Awarded to the performer who demonstrates exceptional mastery over their chosen discipline, the Apex Precision Trophy honours excellent execution, physical control, fluidity, and consistency.
Harmony Award
Focus: Artistic Presentation, Aesthetic, and Creative Integration
Awarded to the performer whose act is a seamless blend of artistic elements including thoughtful costume and prop choices, music, movement style, and acrobatic content.
