SAIC measures and sets standards for individual student academic progress utilizing an academic standing process that does not rely upon GPA and does not assign letter grades. This system best facilitates the education our institution aims to provide—an education that fosters creativity, risk-taking in the context of creative making and scholarship, and an emphasis on iterative evaluation of growth and progress.
Non-degree students must achieve average performance in the course (the traditional grade equivalent of a C) to earn CR (credit).
Submitting Grades: Enter pass/fail grades for each student into PeopleSoft Self-Service. Review the Online Grading How-To Guide for more information. We need these grades to track certificate program completions.

In addition to grades in PeopleSoft, CAAP students receive instructor evaluations. These evaluations help us track student progress and support them. Please remember that students will receive their evaluations. Make sure to address the student directly in your notes.
Like other ECP/O/SI students, CAAP students receive grades in PeopleSoft Self-Service.

Log in to SAIC Self-Service. At the top of the screen, confirm you are on the “Faculty Homepage”
Click the icon that says “Faculty Center Non-Mobile”
You will then see the current semester’s course offerings. If a different term is displaying, you can select “change term” to select the desired term.

Once grades have been entered for all students, change the approval status to “approved” near the top of the screen.
Make sure to then click “Save” and your grades will be submitted.
MAC/CW and MSP students do not receive grades for their courses.
