After, or during your advisor's class meeting, schedule an appointment with them via Navigate.
Start adding classes to your cart in Self Service before meeting with your academic advisor.
When Advanced Registration begins, you'll then be able to enroll classes on your own at your assigned enrollment time in Self Service.

ADVANCED REGISTRATION
Monday, April 06 - Friday, April 10
12:00 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. CDT
Your first semester might look something like this:
CP 1010 - Core Studio Practice I
CP 1020 - Research Studio I
ENGLISH 1001 - First Year Seminar I
ARTHI 1001 - Introduction to Art: Ways of Seeing
Studio Elective (This would be a studio course of your choice, normally they are intro level 1000-2000 level courses).
Your second semester might look something like this:
CP 1011 - Core Studio Practice II (Same time and instructor as the first semester)
CP 1022 - Research Studio II (New time and instructor from the first semester, if you like)
ENGLISH 1005 - First Year Seminar II
ARTHI 1002 - Issues in Modern and Contemporary Art
Studio Elective (This would be a studio course of your choice, normally they are intro level 1000-2000 level courses).
CP 1010 - Core Studio Practice I
CP 1011 - Core Studio Practice II
CP 1020 - Research Studio I
CP 1022 - Research Studio II
ENGLISH 1001 - First Year Seminar I
ENGLISH 1005 - First Year Seminar II
ART HISTORY
ARTHI 1001 - World Cultures and Civilizations: Pre-History to 19th Century Art & Architecture
Another 1000 Level Art History Course
Art History 1002, 1015, 1017, etc.
If you are in the Academic Access Program (AAP), you are required to complete the following during your first year:
AAP 1001 - Reading Art
AAP 1011 - Foundations Writing Workshop
ENGLISH 1002 - First Year Seminar Enhanced (AAP)
ENGLISH FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (EIS)
If you are in the English for International Students (EIS), you are required to complete the following during your first year:
EIS 1021 - Fluency I
EIS 1031 - Critique I
ENGLISH 1003 - First Year Seminar Enhanced (EIS)
EIS 1035 - English for International Students: Tutorial
Students are expected to complete their first-year required courses in a timely manner. A student who receives a grade of No Credit (NCR) in a first-year required course must repeat that course in the next semester in which the student enrolls at SAIC. Students are required to complete these courses by their third attempt or they will be suspended.
