Principal's Message

Dear Woodburn Arthur Academy  Community,

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter to you as the principal of Woodburn Arthur Academy. It is an honor to be a part of the WAA family and community.

My mission echoes that of the Arthur Academy mission: “Every single student, regardless of ethnicity, parental income, learning difference, culture, or native language, will become a fluent reader and will master the academic and intellectual skills necessary to succeed at the next level of schooling.” Each student, and family, is an important part of our community and deserves the skills necessary for students to succeed from grade to grade.

The core values of our school community and staff moving forward will also remain the same: “Our school community is a place where students, staff and families are valued and respected honoring our diverse cultures and experiences. We work together to provide a safe, welcoming environment in which all students thrive and love to learn!” Each individual in our community should feel valued, safe and respected, and I will do my utmost to uphold these values now and in the future!

I believe one of my main responsibilities is to make sure our teachers are in the best possible position to be successful, and in turn they will put our children in the best possible position to be successful.
