Week 1 is all about staying active in your own backyard, or home! Below are some ideas that you and your family may be able to do to stay active while staying in your own backyard!

June 1 - Soccer
Put your best foot forward and try the most loved sport worldwide, that’s right, soccer! Visit Free Footie TV for some training videos.
June 2 - Yoga
Stretch it out, breathe, and relax. What better way to unwind and workout than by practicing yoga in the park? Check out ParticipACTION's guide to yoga.
June 3 - Running
Happy Global Running Day! Lace up your shoes and hit the trails. ParticipACTION has a great resource to help you get started!
June 4 - Dance
Get up & raise your heart rate! Bust out some dance moves and have a dance party with this family friendly playlist.
June 5 - Hiking/Trails
Take a hike while getting out and exploring the many local, provincial, and national parks (government promiting)! Alberta TrailNet has maps and resources to get you on the right path.
June 6 - Family Activities
Is the family getting couped up inside? Get out in your backyard or to a local park and try some family friendly activies created by Be Fit for Life!
June 7 - Fitness Classes
Do you miss hitting the gym? Try an online fitness offering. Check out the variety of Health and Fitness Videos for all abilities and ages by the YMCA!
