Our mission is to provide children (birth to school age) and their families with a safe, nurturing environment that will allow them to meet their full potential. Children will learn through play-based, meaningful experiences based on individual development in a consistent continuum across the ages. Arlington Area Childcare program will continue to grow through professional development and partnerships with families and the community.

Arlington Area Childcare Inc. is Southern Vermont's only Early Education Center to be SEED and SEW Accredited. Could you tell me what this means??
Educators can create a comprehensive approach to nurturing emotional intelligence in tiny humans by combining high-quality professional development, expert coaching, and parent support. Professional development provides educators with the knowledge and skills needed to understand emotional intelligence principles and implement effective classroom strategies. Expert coaching offers ongoing guidance and support to educators, helping them refine their practices and address individual student needs. Additionally, involving parents in the process ensures that emotional intelligence skills are reinforced at home and in the classroom, creating a cohesive and supportive environment for children to develop essential social and emotional competencies. Together, these research-backed practices form a powerful framework for fostering emotional intelligence in young children, laying the foundation for their lifelong well-being and success.
The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federal program administered by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that provides reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children and adults who are enrolled in participating care facilities. The program aims to improve the quality of childcare and make it more affordable for families.
Participants in CACFP include child care centers, family child care homes, afterschool programs, and adult day care centers. The program ensures that children and adults in care facilities receive balanced and nutritious meals, promoting better health and well-being.
Arlington Area Childcare, being part of CACFP, benefits from the support and resources provided by this program to offer healthy meals and snacks to the children in their care.
