I am originally from Madrid, Spain and now live with my husband, an MIT professor, and children in Arlington. We moved to Arlington from Switzerland, Geneva in 2009. I have six children, the first one just graduated from UChicago, two others in college, one at AHS and two in elementary school. This is my fifth year teaching at Arlington High School, MA.
I graduated from UCM (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) and I am passionate about inquiry-based learning, languages, differentiated instruction and sharing languages and cultures.

¡Bienvenidos todos! Welcome to our Spanish community. In this classroom, learning a language is not a spectator sport, we are all in this together! Learning Spanish will open doors to new cultures, beautiful music, incredible travel experiences, and new friendships. In this course 2026-27, students will build off and expand upon knowledge acquired in Spanish 2A and 3H and will continue to develop reading, writing, and speaking proficiency through the use of authentic materials.
We will be speaking Spanish 95% of the time in class.
Don't worry about making mistakes; mistakes are just proof that you are trying! Sé valiente y sé amable (Be brave and be kind). Let’s make this a wonderful, fun, and supportive space. Let's have fun learning Spanish. I am looking forward to meeting you all!
