About Me

My high school biology teacher (Don Bockler) inspired me to study biology in college. He helped me understand biology was important for many reasons, such as in protecting the environment, understanding human impact, and preventing and treating disease. I started teaching in New York City in 2004 and I moved back to the Boston area in 2017. I teach because I enjoy making a difference in the lives of others. I also teach because I believe having deep knowledge of and experience in science equips people with tools with which to shape their lives and the world.

In my spare time I enjoy fitness-related activities, reading, creative writing, cooking, watching movies, traveling, spending time in nature (especially the beach), and spending time with loved ones.

Education:

Arlington High School (1993)
