All of the AHS choirs combined on Friday, September 20 to perform Ukuthula, a traditional Zulu South African peace hymn, central to the "AVoice4Peace" movement.
For this movement, thousands of choirs from all over the world sing Ukuthula on the International Day of Peace and use the song to initiate discussions on ways that we as individuals can be voices for peace in our world. Students have each been challenged to perform an act of kindness for someone before the Day of Peace in an effort to spark positivity and kindness toward others.
The choirs performed in an effort to spark thoughts of peace, unity, and positivity in our individual lives and as a community.
