TO RUN SAFELY, EFFICIENTLY, AND COMFORTABLY YOU WILL NEED:

- Shorts, T-shirt, long-sleeved shirt, sweatshirt, or jacket/fleece (colder weather)
- Running sneakers (trainers - sneakers for long-distance running)
VARSITY
- A large water bottle

- Running sneakers (trainers - sneakers for long-distance running)
- Racing spikes
- A GPS watch
What should I bring to the meets?
It is suggested that you pack your XC bag the night before a meet with the following:
uniform (shorts and shirt)
racing sneakers
an extra pair of shoes (flip flops or warm boots to change after racing)
two pairs of socks
a water bottle
a hair elastic
long sleeve shirt and long pants
water
pre/post-race snack
medications (inhaler, epipen)
warm clothes (rain jacket, coat, hat and gloves as the season progresses)
a big trash bag to protect your belongings in case of rain
optional: a watch
**Please note that all jewelry must be removed before the start of a meet. Leave expensive items at home.
** Proper nutrition and hydration are essential before a meet. Make sure to eat a proper breakfast and lunch the day of a meet and to hydrate throughout the day. Refer to the section Nutrition for more details.
