School Life, Dates, and Tenses
Thu Vo is a Vietnamese tutor at the Critical Languages Program, University of Arizona. Additionally, she serves as an English teacher at Dong Thap University in the Mekong Delta, located in the South of Vietnam. She holds an MA in TESOL from Can Tho University, Vietnam. During the academic year 2020-2021, she taught Vietnamese at Yale University as a teaching assistant through the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistantship. Thu has a profound enthusiasm for teaching the Vietnamese language and sharing Vietnamese culture. Alongside, she has worked as a freelance Vietnamese instructor both online and offline in Vietnam, and she has also contributed as a Vietnamese rater for Avant Assessment, based in the USA. Since last summer, Thu has been actively engaged with Arizona University in developing Vietnamese teaching materials.

The Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS), at the University of Arizona, is a Title VI National Resource Center supported by the U.S. Department of Education. CEAS assists and promotes the study of and research into East Asian languages and cultures throughout the university. In the community, our center aims to produce equitable and inclusive access to educational materials, professional development, cultural demonstrations, and exchange opportunities related to East Asia and the region's languages across Southern Arizona, and beyond.
