Introduction

My name is Deonisio Ventura, a first year graduate student in the Counseling (MA) program at the University of Arizona. 

Born and raised in Nebraska, I am now embarking on new adventures to pursue the best version of myself. What this looks like for me, is to pursue licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and provide holistic counseling services to empower society.

Why counseling? I desired a platform in which I could serve and advocate for a wide variety of populations. A platform in which I can assist others in discovering their authentic selves, and guide them towards decisions that reflect that of their best selves.

As a first generation Hispanic student, I am eternally inspired by the ancestors that have come before me; and I remain aware of the opportunities to help raise my family to greater heights. My belief is that my meaningful work in the counseling realm will correlate with this vision.
