I am Dr. Onur Ural Burns. My academic journey includes a PhD in Applied Linguistics (Second Language Acquisition and Teaching) with a minor in TESOL and a certificate in Technology in Language Teaching.
My research focuses on language teacher education and the integration of educational technologies in language teaching. This interest stems from my experience as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and my certification in language instruction (CELTA) from the University of Cambridge.
My dedication to the field has been recognized through several awards including the Centennial Achievement Award, and Urquides Laureate Award. My experiences as a Fulbright and Erasmus+ scholar have provided me with a global perspective on language education.
Currently, I teach foundational writing and ESL classes at the University of Arizona, where I apply my research to create engaging and effective learning environments. I have published my work in various academic journals and presented at numerous conferences, sharing insights on using technology to facilitate language learning.
