Our First Lines Of Inquiry: Poverty and Forms of Poverty
Absolute poverty.
Absolute poverty is refered to as extreme poverty. In Absolute poverty one is so poor that they cannot buy their basic needs.

Situational Poverty
Situational Poverty is Poverty which is due to a sudden crisis which is generally temporary.
Rural Poverty
Rural Poverty is when you have a limited level of knowledge.
Urban Poverty
Urban poverty is when a city over-populates and the government is unable to provide all the citizens with resources.
Relative poverty is when you have money but you don't have enough for your basic needs.
Generational poverty is when you are poor because your parents are poor .
In this task we used the Concept map to describe the different types of Poverty.
In this task we came up with our individual definitions of Poverty and then combined them to come up with one joint definition.
After understanding there are six types of Poverty, we chose which type we would like to research and present on.

C/hronic poverty is when you are poor because your parents are poor or when you are poor from a sickness .
Generational poverty is when people are poor because their parents have been poor and chronic is when you are poor from a sickness.
Rural Poverty is when you have limited level of knowledge because they have a lack of facilities.
Relative poverty is when you have money but you don't have enough for your basic needs.
Urban poverty is when a city/village over-populates and the government cant provide all the citizens with resources.
After researching and presenting our chosen types of Poverty we made the connection to understand the interrelation of the concepts.
In the task below, we created generalizations to show our understanding of the causes and effects of Poverty.
In the task below, we used the KWL Chart to gather our prior knowledge and then researched and presented our findings about how Covid-19 relates with Poverty
In this activity we shared our thoughts on how Covid-19 affects the various types of Poverty.
For the three articles above, our task was to write our reflections on how the people involved experienced Poverty and the cause of their poor situations. We also added the skills we used to complete the task.
In this task, we created a spider web by cross-connecticross-connecting the SDGs to Poverty. We realised in the end that achieving the SDGs will greatly reduce poverty at most of the goals are related to Poverty.
