Class overview
In this course, students explore the diverse regions of the world through the study of geography, history, government, economics, and culture, as outlined in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Students will examine how people adapt to and modify their environments, analyze the impact of historical events and cultural traditions, and compare political and economic systems across regions. Through maps, primary and secondary sources, hands-on projects, and interactive activities, students will develop geographic literacy, cultural awareness, and critical thinking skills that connect the past and present to their own lives.
