About me

Hi 5th graders and welcome back to JRE. I’m Mrs. Dominguez and I will be your ELAR teacher this year. This is my 12th year teaching ELAR. I’ve taught grades 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7!

I’m absolutely nerdy about all things reading and writing! I love making learning fun, meaningful, and engaging for every student. In my class, curiosity is encouraged, mistakes are celebrated, and growth is always the goal. More than anything, I believe that real learning happens when students feel safe, seen, and welcomed. I work hard to build a positive classroom community where every student knows they belong. I’m so excited to get to know your child and help them grow into confident, lifelong learners! Let’s do this JRE!

• I play piano and percussion.

• I have 2 mini Golden Doodles: Princess Leia and Luke, adopted on May the 4th be with you!

• I love Star Wars and Harry Potter.

• Disney for me is the happiest place on earth.

• My husband and I have been married for 13 years and we have 2 awesome boys at JRE!

• I love serving at my church Milestone Argyle,

• I’m actually Iranian-American and can fluently speak Farsi; through my husband, I’ve picked up A LOT of Spanish.
