Rachel Volk

About me

Hi, I'm Ms. Volk!

This is my ninth year in education, and I am excited to be your teacher this year!

I earned my bachelor's degree in History from New York University and my master's degree in Adolescent Social Studies Education from Hunter College in New York City. I began my teaching career in New York City Public Schools, where I taught 9th & 10th grade World History for five years. In 2023, I returned here to my home state of Texas, where I have taught both 11th Grade U.S. History and Dual Credit U.S. History.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy traveling, reading, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my family and friends. I am passionate about helping students think critically, analyze the past, and make meaningful connections between history and the world around them.
