Class Overview

This Biology course is intended to have students explore and master the High School  Biology curriculum according to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).  Students will be expected to understand cells, their components and functions, the interrelationship of organisms, genetic makeup, evolutionary history, and ecological concepts. This class will have a high level of expectations as we will be preparing to take the STAAR test.  It will be expected that students will spend time outside of class on chapter readings, homework, or studying to help further their understanding in this class. The class will involve labs, projects, and activities where students will need to work collaboratively and independently.  I will be available for tutoring as scheduled and will make arrangements for additional times as needed.
