About me

Hi there! 

I'm Ms. Velasquez, and this is my fifth year teaching. I’m thrilled to be joining the kindergarten team this year! I previously taught 1st grade and am excited to bring that experience into the kindergarten classroom. I began my teaching career in Northwest ISD, and I’m so excited to now be an Argyle Eagle!

I earned my bachelor's degree from Tarleton State University and have a passion for helping young learners grow socially, emotionally, and academically. I can’t wait to see all that this year holds! 

When I’m not teaching, you can find me spending time with my four dogs Jax, Gemma, Roxi, and Kimber, or hanging out with my pet chickens! I’m also recently engaged to my fiancé, Nate. I love to play golf and enjoy spending time with friends and family.
