English IV

Class overview

English IV seeks to develop students’ awareness of multiple genres including major works of British and World Literature across literary periods and includes the development of the English language. Additionally, the course will continue to build upon vocabulary, reading, writing, speech, grammar, and research skills. SAT and ACT writing, reading, and verbal skills will also be honed by use of increasingly difficult texts. A senior writing scrapbook will be created throughout the course.
