About Me

I am so excited to teach Physical Education at the Sixth Grade Center! Being physically active is a passion that I can't wait to share with all of my students. I truly believe that being active every day is the key to being successful in all aspects of life.

My entire family (mom, dad, and sister) are all educators.  My mom taught kindergarten for 33 years. My dad taught wood shop and marketing for 30 years. My sister is currently a high school art teacher. I guess you could say that teaching runs in the family!  I grew up in Vernon, TX and played volleyball, basketball, track, gymnastics, and was a cheerleader. I went to college at the University of North Texas, Go Eagles! After college, I taught 8th grade math, 7th grade science, and K-5 physical education in Coppell for 10 years. I moved to Argyle in 2015 and taught 8th grade science at Argyle Middle School. I can't wait to start my new journey at the 6th Grade Center.

I have two boys, Cooper (14) and Gavin (11). They both love sports and I spend much of my free time watching them play sports. Our family loves being outside and most of our vacations are spent in the mountains hiking or skiing.  We also have a very active dog (Lucy), a cat (Smokey), and two llamas (Bandit and Trixie).

I can't wait to meet all of the 6th graders and make 2023-2024 the best year ever at the Sixth Grade Center!
