!st Grade - Argyle South Elementary
About me
I'm beyond excited to be “home” in Argyle! This marks my 23rd year in public education, and I feel incredibly grateful to be spending it in the classroom with your amazing first graders. First grade is truly my favorite—there’s something magical about the growth, curiosity, and joy that happens during this special year.
I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University (go Pokes!—I’m a proud third-generation graduate) and my M.S. in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University. Over the past three years, I’ve served as an assistant principal in Liberty Hill (near Austin), but my heart has always been in the classroom, and I’m thrilled to be back where the magic happens every day.
My husband, Denver, and I have been married for almost 20 years. We were high school sweethearts who reconnected later in life, and together we have a wonderfully big, blended family—six kids in total! Our youngest is a senior in high school and has chosen to finish out his senior year in Liberty Hill, though I secretly wish he’d come to Argyle! We’re also blessed with five grandchildren (with another on the way in January), and while it’s not always easy to get everyone together—since they’re spread out—those family gatherings are absolutely the highlight of my life.
In our free time, we love heading to the mountains or making magical memories at Disney.
I’m so excited for a fantastic year of learning, laughter, and growth. Thank you for trusting me with your child—it’s going to be a wonderful journey!
