Compacted MATH

This year we will be working through the TEKS for 6th and 7th Grade Math.  The material is presented in the following units:

UNIT 1 - classify numbers, operations with integers, order of operations, prime factorization

UNIT 2 - fraction and decimal conversion, compare and order rational numbers, operations with rational numbers

UNIT 3 - write expressions, model and solve two-step equations, model and solve two-step inequalities

UNIT 4 - ratios, rates, unit rates, and proportions

Unit 5 - fraction/decimal/percent conversions, percent proportion, percent of change, simple and compound interest

UNIT 6 - angles and triangles, area, circumference, surface area, volume

UNIT 7 - volume and surface area

UNIT 8 - measures of center and variability, statistical questions, box plots, stem and leaf plots, box plots, histograms, percent bar graphs, circle graphs, sample and population

UNIT 9 - debit vs credit cards, credit reports, checking accounts, choosing a bank, paying for college, comparing salaries, budgets, income tax, net worth 

UNIT 10 - probability
