Understanding Our Specials Schedule

Each grade level attends "Specials" (PE, Music, STEM, Art, and Library) on a rotating 6-day schedule. Instead of following the regular days of the week (Monday–Friday), we use Days 1 through 6. These cycle in order, regardless of the day of the week. For example, if we have school on Monday and it's Day 1, then Tuesday is Day 2, and so on. If we have a holiday or weather day, the cycle simply picks up where we left off.

To help you keep track, I provide a calendar that shows which day (1–6) corresponds to each school day, so you'll always know what "Specials" your child has that day.

Helpful Tip for Art Days:
Sometimes art is messy. Please do not send your child to art in their "Sunday best". We always have "paint shirts/ smocks" available for students to wear, but paint can be sneaky and accidents do happen.
