Class Overview
The AP Biology curriculum is designed to offer students an in-depth knowledge of college based introductory biology. The course will be taught to incorporate four big ideas as well as the enduring understandings that support each of them. Students will be guided with my assistance to further their basic understanding of living systems and the relationships between those systems and life processes and homeostasis; to the diversity of life and our interdependence on those systems as a whole through evolutionary relationships.

Throughout the year students will be expected to expand their data collection and math skills, use models to explain science phenomena, and become more scientifically literate when dealing with biological issues. Students will leave the course with a better understanding of inquiry-based investigations and lab-based testing. They will be able to clearly define relationships between living systems and life processes and evolutionary relationships and diversity of biological life.
