Class overview

Students will learn an overview of the healthcare industry including therapeutic, diagnostic, health informatics, support services, biotechnology research, and development systems of the healthcare industry. Students will learn to reason, think critically, make decisions, solve problems,and communicate effectively. Students will learn that quality of healthcare depends on the ability to work well with others. Students will develop a concept of health and wellness from the perspective of a health consumer as well as a potential professional in the healthcare industry.
