The Texas Bluebonnet Award is a unique reading program which encourages Texas children to read a variety of genres and identify a favorite book from within the nominated list. The books included the Bluebonnet List are selected annually by a committee of Texas Librarians for students in 3rd-6th Grade.

Each year in January, students in 3rd-6th Grade who have read at least five Bluebonnet titles may vote for their favorite.
The book that receives the most votes is declared the Texas Bluebonnet Winner. Visit the Texas Bluebonnet Award page for more information.
