Emilie McDowELL

About me:

It thrills me to be starting my 21st year in education and my third year in Argyle ISD teaching 5th grade Science.  Prior to coming here, I worked in Northwest ISD, where I taught GT and all subjects of 5th grade at one point over a 10 year period.  Early on in my career, before being a stay at home, I taught in Lewisville ISD (GT) and Tyler ISD (4th).

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University in 1997.  Hence the reason, on any given weekend in the fall or spring, you will likely find me cheering on the Aggies in football or baseball, as I am what you might call a die-hard fan!  

My family, husband Chris, daughter Lily, Goldendoodle Harley, and I enjoy adventures of many kinds, but one day we hope to find ourselves spending as much time as possible in Northwest Montana, as it is our favorite vacation spot so far!!! 

I look forward to partnering with parents, students, and staff of ASE to make this the best year yet, as we learn, grow, and explore together!
